Ottawa S.S. No. 1
This stone structure was constructed in 1886 and served as a one room schoolhouse until 1963. With it's rectangular plan, gabled roof and evenly spaced windows, this building is an excellent example of the typical schoolhouse built throughout Ontario in the second half of the 19th century. S.S. No. 1 features it's original date stone, stone quoins and small bell tower Designated Heritage Property
